In an era where spatial planning and environmental management procedures must be adapted to climate change, RECONECT aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), rather than grey infrastructures, to reduce hydro-meteorological risks and increase territorial resilience.
The project is based on a Network of Cases chosen from all Europe, with the goals to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed solutions and to enhance the knowledge and the innovation in the specific context.
Copernicus Land Monitoring Services play an important role for the upscaling, at EU and international level, of RECONECT approach and technological solutions, thanks to their standard format and geographical coverage. In view of replicating and enhancing the application of project outcomes, RECONECT will create a learning platform freely accessible by users and stakeholders.
Moreover, an open LinkedIn group has just been created, where professionals can share their toughts about the topic and have fulfilling dialogues with other experts.
For those interested, it is possible to register to the semestral newsletter via website (the first issue will be delivered in few days) and be awared of the project updates following the Twitter and Facebook pages.
